The path a design follows from idea to a finished, branded product.

🖼️ Sharing the Model / Image

The customer sends an image of the model they want — an example found online, their own design, or simply a sketch. The process starts with “Can you make this model?”

📐 Creating the Base Pattern $300

In swimwear, the pattern is everything. If the customer has no pattern, a professional base pattern is created (e.g. size 38 / M). Pattern and design work is done fully in-house.

🧵 Sewing the Sample 10 business days 2 revisions

A swimsuit sample is sewn from the base pattern. This usually takes 10 business days; it can vary with extras such as embroidery or printing. The customer has the right to 2 revisions.

✅ Sample Approval

The customer holds the sample in hand and approves it. Throughout the whole process we stay in constant contact over WhatsApp.

📏 Size Grading $50 per size

After approval, grading patterns are produced for the requested sizes. A separate fee applies for each size.

🏭 Bulk Production 60% upfront

Before bulk production begins, 60% of the order is paid upfront. Production strictly follows the approved sample and the grading patterns.

📦 Delivery balance on delivery

The remaining balance is paid on delivery. Products are handed over ready for e-commerce.

Because we ship in high volumes, we pass the large discounts we receive from our contracted carriers straight on to our customers. This lets us offer both domestic and international customers special shipping rates they simply can’t get anywhere else. The entire shipping process is planned at the lowest possible cost through İstanbul Swimwear’s exclusive carrier agreements.

Q How do we start? I only have an image.

In swimwear, the pattern is everything. If you don’t have one, a professional base pattern is created for $300. We provide pattern and design services fully in-house.
Q What is size grading and what does it cost?
From the base pattern (e.g. 38 / M), patterns for the other sizes you want are produced. A fee of $50 per size applies. Grading is done after sample approval.

Q How long until the sample is ready?

Q How many revisions do I get?
You have the right to 2 revisions on the sample.
Q Why is the sample fee high? Can I get it back?
The sample fee is 10× the quoted unit price. Sample work requires special skill and time: a single product is assembled step by step across many different machines; the fast assembly-line workflow of bulk production isn’t possible here. It also prevents bad-faith behavior (having the sample made and then wasting the labor by not moving to the physical order).

When the sample turns into an order, the extra amount is refunded to your account or deducted from the payment. This way both sides are protected.

Q What are the payment terms?
The base pattern fee and sample fee are paid upfront. After sample approval, before bulk production begins, 60% of the order is paid upfront. The remaining balance is paid on delivery.
Labels & Branding
Q I don’t have inner/outer labels — what can I do?
If you don’t have your own inner/outer labels, custom-designed labels can be produced affordably in Turkey through our partner printing house.
